Dog-friendly Corner Cottage is a two-bedroom terraced holiday home in the attractive village of Staindrop.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is roadside parking available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Inside
The interior is comfortable and has a real country feel, with exposed beams and wood flooring. With gas central heating and a wood burner, guests will be warm at any time of year.
The open-plan living space comprises kitchen, dining area and lounge. Relax in front of the Smart television with Freeview, watch a DVD or listen to your music through the Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen has everything you need, including electric oven and hob, microwave/combi oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer and a filter coffee / cappuccino maker.
There are two bedrooms: a king-size double which can be a twin on request, and a double with a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.
Free Wifi is available for guest use.
Outside
The front lawned garden has furniture where you can relax, but as it is not enclosed, it would not be suitable for your dogs to run loose.

Location and surrounding area
The attractive village of Staindrop has many shops, pubs and cafés to discover, nestled around the long village green. Staindrop is near Raby Castle. Open to the public, the castle is one of the grandest in England. Originally medieval, it has been added to over the centuries, and visitors can enjoy the walled garden and 200-acre deer park.
The market town of Barnard Castle is five miles away, where visitors can see the castle and the Bowes Museum.
The region boasts lots of interesting walks, and if you’d like to travel a little further afield, Durham is just twenty miles away.
