Cottage Details

Dog-friendly Derry Cottage is a Grade II listed country cottage, with a kitchen/conservatory extension, near the attractive towns of Whitland and Narberth. Surrounded by fields, you will be able to observe the Milky Way on clear nights.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is off-road parking for two cars.

Inside

The interior of the cottage is welcoming and spacious. Oil central heating and a wood burner make this property comfortable at any time of year.

The sitting room boasts open wooden beams and an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. There is more seating in a separate snug area, giving plenty of room for guests to spread out and enjoy some peace and quiet.

The extension houses the ample kitchen/diner, with a large sturdy wooden table at which to enjoy meals while observing the wildlife that comes into the garden. The kitchen is well-equipped, with oven, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

There are two bedrooms: a twin on the ground floor and a double upstairs. The twin bedroom has an original feature fireplace and guests in this room have a wet room on the same floor. The double bedroom upstairs has open wood beams and plenty of storage space. A modern bathroom is on the first floor too. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent, guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.

Free WiFi is available for guest use, but please note that due to the rural location, signal strength may vary.

Outside

There is plenty of outside space for you and your dogs to enjoy. At the rear, there is a large lawn with garden furniture, an orchard and a stream bordering this relaxing space. There is also a garden at the front of the cottage.

The location was stunning and very close to Tenby and Saundersfoot beaches, where our dogs enjoyed the sandy beaches…
