Cottage Details

Quantock Hide is a dog-friendly, truly luxurious escape situated on a country estate at the top of Somerset’s Quantock Hills.

It’s at the end of a private forest driveway, promising peace and relaxation from the outset. Appreciate views of both the coast and open moorland from the property.

Three well-behaved dogs are welcome, with more allowed at prior request. Each canine guest will have biscuits awaiting them, water bowls just for them and their own bed.

Inside

The interior is decorated to an exceptionally high standard. An open-plan, spacious living area is richly furnished with inviting comfy sofas, day bed, dining table, wood burning stove and a large wall-mounted television.

The stunning kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need for a luxurious stay, with microwave, oven, Nespresso coffee machine, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

There are two super king-sized bedrooms, both sumptuously decorated. The first contains a roll-top bath big enough for two. The second can be made into a twin room if desired, and is next to a splendid shower room.

A housekeeping service and in-cottage beauty treatments are available at an additional cost.

Outside

The immaculate gardens are divided into three separate spaces, all with sea views and perfect for eating out when the weather is warm enough.

There is a hot tub on the raised terrace behind the cottage, and sun beds on the lower patio.

Dogs will be completely safe in the garden, as it is fully enclosed. There is also a large fenced woodland play area just for dogs to enjoy, including an agility course.

No need to bring muddy paws into the cottage as there are outside hot and cold taps.

Location and surrounding area

Moorland walks are accessible directly from the cottage, and all nearby beaches accept dogs all year round.

There is a local pet shop that can deliver dog food to the cottage, as well as providing grooming and dog-sitting services.

A shop and a dog-friendly pub are both within walking distance.

The village of Kilve is in the Quantock Hills. With open moorlands, woodlands and much wildlife, it’s no wonder that the region has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village of Williton is just 5 miles away, and Bridgwater 13 miles away. The latter boasts an annual carnival in November which puts 20,000 lightbulbs to good use for a fantastic display of colour.

There are beaches and historic sites to discover in the area, and the lively, interesting cities of Bristol and Bath are not too far.
