The Garden Cottage is a snug little thatched property, nestled down a private drive in the small village of Belstone. Pink clematis flowers adorn the original stone walls around the door of the single-storied building. The central heating, underfloor heating and wood burner make this an ideal getaway in any season.

Off-road parking available. Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome, with the first dog free of charge (£15 per additional dog).

Inside

The flagstone floor is original and perfectly restored. The living area comprises dining area and  lounge with a window seat and a wood burner.

Guests will find the cosy kitchen well-equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine and drier.

There are two bedrooms: the first a king-size double, the second with bunk beds.

The original stone walls peek through the contemporary decor throughout the cottage, lending it a historic, yet modern feel.

Outside

The good-sized cottage garden is full of plants, flowers and mature trees, and has a picnic bench where you can relax. If you’re feeling more active, outdoor games are also provided.

The owner’s house next door was once home to the Nobel Prize-winning author, Doris Lessing.

Full of character and a nice rural feel to the surroundings. A1 parking facilities. Excellent location for joining loop walks with the dog…
