Cottage Details

Dog-friendly Windy Ridge Cottage is a three-bed holiday home, situated on a country estate around three miles from the quaint Cotswold village of Stow-on-the-Wold, and just outside the village of Longborough, known for its annual Opera Festival.

Welcoming one dog to explore its large garden and the estate’s 3,000-tree arboretum, this cottage has off-road parking available. Sorry, no smoking is allowed at the property.

Inside

The interior of the cottage is spacious and has a lovely country feel with wooden floors throughout. With central heating and an open fire in the living room, this property is cosy at any time of year. Fuel and power are included in the rent.

The living room is a bright room, with windows on three sides, plenty of comfy seating and an open fire.

The kitchen is well-equipped, with oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. It leads through to the dining room.

There are three bedrooms that are tastefully furnished and decorated: two king-size doubles and one twin. Windows from all rooms enjoy views over the extensive gardens. There are two bathrooms, one with bath and hand-held shower, the other with a large walk-in shower. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The garden is lovely and was big enough for our dog to run around it. Catches the sun in the early morning, and late afternoon…

Outside

The cottage has a large private garden for your dog to explore. There is a patio with furniture, perfect for relaxing after a day of walks in the local area.

Location and surrounding area

There is a pub just a third of a mile from the cottage, and a shop just one mile away.

With quintessential Cotswold towns just a few miles away, and the village of Longborough not far down the road, guests can enjoy a fully immersive English country break. Longborough has a 12th century church, village shop and post office, and two very good pubs.

Stow-on-the-Wold, three miles, away, is known not only for antiques, but also for its Horse Fair every February. Morton-in-Marsh, four miles away, dates back to Saxon times. Both of these popular Cotswold towns have restaurants, tea rooms and pubs serving local ales.
