Dog-friendly Collecting Yard is one of three converted barns at Holmes Farm in the Peak District National Park. Surrounded by hills and pastures, this is an ideal getaway for dog owners.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is off-road parking for one car.

Inside

The interior is all on the ground floor, and is immaculately presented, with high quality furnishing and décor throughout. With oil central heating, underfloor heating and a wood burner, this property is warm whatever the season. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the wood burner are included in the rent.

The open-plan living space comprises kitchen, dining area and lounge, below impressive exposed beams. The kitchen is well-equipped, with oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A washing machine and a tumble dryer are also on-site, in an external laundry room shared with the other two holiday homes on the farm site.

The super king-size bedroom, which can be a twin on request, has a luxury ensuite shower room with shower, basin and WC. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Free Wifi is available for guest use.

Outside

Guests can enjoy shared access to the garden and grounds at the farm.

The location is good; plenty to do in the surrounding areas, great dog walks and walking on your doorstep…

Location and surrounding area

Holmes Farm is in the hamlet of Reapsmoor, situated in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park. The landscape is varied, from wild meadows, pastures and ancient woodland, to hills and valleys. There are many opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding, and if you’re feeling more adventurous, you could even have a go at caving and rock climbing.

The village of Longnor is nearby, where you will find essential amenities, including a shop, a Post Office, a couple of pubs, a tea room and a fish and chip shop. Take a stroll around the cobbled market square and explore the church.

The attractive towns of Bakewell, Castleton and Buxton are not too far away, and there are plenty of attractions within easy reach, including Alton Towers theme park, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
