Cottage Details

Dog-friendly Groves Fishleigh is a charming thatched barn conversion next to the owner’s home at the end of a lane. Sleeping up to five people, it is the perfect country getaway for a family or a group of friends.

Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is ample off-road parking. Sorry, no smoking is allowed at the property.

Inside

The interior of the property has a country feel, with plenty of space for you and your friends or family. With electric central heating and a wood burner, it is comfortable at any time of year.

The large sitting room has a dining area, and plenty of comfy seating around the wood burner, where you can relax in front of the television, watch a DVD or read a book.

The kitchen has a breakfast area, and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor: two doubles and one single, with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a bath with shower over, basin and WC. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside

The front courtyard has a picnic bench and barbecue, where you can relax after a day of exploring with your dogs.

Location and surrounding area

The popular Tarka Trail is very close, ideal for walking and cycling, and the market town of Hatherleigh is just 1.5 miles away, where you will find a thatched pub and craft shops.

Dartmoor National Park is also easy to get to from this Devon cottage, where you can appreciate fantastic views and discover local wildlife.

Other interesting places to visit in the area are Okehampton Castle, Torrington Gardens, and the War Horse Valley Family Park at Iddesleigh.

The Eden Project and the North Cornwall coast, popular with surfers, is within an hour’s drive.
