The dog-friendly Coachman’s House is an immaculately presented holiday cottage in Weymouth, just half a mile from a sandy beach.
It was once a toll collection point, and although still has many original features, is furnished and decorated to a very high modern standard.
Up to three dogs are welcome, and there is roadside parking available, though subject to availability. Sorry, no smoking.
Inside
The interior is beautifully furnished and presented. The sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating, a TV with Netflix and a DVD player, and there is a separate dining room where you can dine in style.
There are two bedrooms: a double and a twin. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.
The kitchen is fitted in a contemporary style, with white cabinets and all mod-cons – oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. It opens onto the dining room.
Free WiFi is available for guest use, and gas central heating make the cottage comfortable in all seasons. Fuel and power is included in the rent.
Outside
The cottage benefits from its own garden and patio, with a beautiful clematis tumbling over the wall in true cottage-garden style. Stylish rattan garden furniture is provided so that you can relax after a day of exploring with the dogs.
Location and surrounding area
It’s easy to get to many attractions on foot, including the beach, seafront, town and the RSPB Radipole Lake Nature Reserve, a beautiful place to walk your dogs. Please remember to keep dogs on a lead, as sheep roam freely.
Jump into the car for a twenty-minute drive to see the impressive Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, with their stunning scenery and rock formations. Or for something different, take a drive to Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre or the Tank Museum.
Further into the countryside is the county town of Dorset. Discover its Maiden Castle, dating from the Iron Age and marvel at the spectacular views from there.
