Swallow Barn is a dog-friendly, semi-detached converted barn on the owner’s working farm above the Aire Valley.

Just two miles from Silsden, this luxury property is a wonderful country getaway, with original features and spacious living areas.

Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is off-road parking for five cars.

Inside

The interior has been furnished and decorated to an exceptional standard. With gas underfloor central heating and a wood burner, this property can be enjoyed in comfort whatever the weather. Fuel, power and starter pack for the wood burner are included in the rent.

The spacious, open-plan living area comprises kitchen, dining area and lounge. The wood burner set into an inglenook fireplace, exposed stone walls and beams remind guests of the history of the property, while the underfloor heating, large television and modern equipment ensure that you will not want for comfort.

The well-equipped kitchen offers a range cooker with three ovens, a six-ring gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

There are five bedrooms: two doubles, both with ensuite shower rooms, and three twin rooms, one with an ensuite shower room. There is also a family bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower. A convenient cloakroom with basin and WC is on the ground floor. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Free Wifi is available for guest use.

Outside

The cottage enjoys a private patio garden with furniture, where you can relax after a day of exploring the area with your dogs. Secure bike storage is also available.

Location and surrounding area

The attractive town of Silsden, just two miles away, sits on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with stunning views across the River Aire. Just down the valley there is the historic market town of Skipton, with its ancient castle, parish church and colourful market.

There are plenty of local places to explore, including Bolton Abbey, the spa town of Ilkley, steam railways and canal day trips. It is also easy to get to the ‘Brontë country’ of North and West Yorkshire from here.
