Covering 2130km of beautiful, natural space, it comes as no shock that this area is ideal for walkers. Events occur annually celebrating the area and providing people with guided tours of the walks, hikes, paths and skiing opportunity on the mountains.

Extreme sportspeople go straight for the pinnacle mountain and the area’s namesake: Snowdon. At 3560 feet, it comes as no surprise that this is rendered the highest mountain in Wales. But this area has tallied over three and a half million visitors a year, so don’t worry if you’re not quite up to this level of hike yet. There are guided tours for every capability.
