Dog friendly activities in Derbyshire

The county of Derbyshire, in the East Midlands of England, is the kind of postcard-perfect region that people recall when imagining rural England, which is further exemplified by the fact that most of the famous Peak District National Park falls within the county.

Derbyshire is a hilly county, rising in the north east to the mountain mass of the Peak District, at places 2,000 feet high! Of the several waterfalls in this craggy county, the highest is Kinder Downfall, on Kinder Scout, with a drop of some 400 feet. The Pennine Way also begins at Edale in the Hope Valley.
