Location and surrounding area

The cottage is in the hamlet of Llandecwyn in North Wales, situated in beautiful farmland and countryside. It’s a perfect setting for dog owners, with lots of walking opportunities.

The nearest pub is just a mile away, and the cottage is just five miles from Harlech and five miles from Porthmadog in Snowdonia National Park.

Country walks are right on your doorstep, including one to the Llyn Tecwyn Isaf, a lake just 300 yards away. If you enjoy fishing, visit a second lake in the area: Llyn Tecwyn Uchaf, once you have a licence and permit which you can buy locally in Penrhyndeudraeth.

Spend time on the sandy beach at Harlech or discover its 13th century castle, or visit the village of Portmeirion and the harbour town of Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Steam Railways.

If you enjoy a round of golf, the famous Royal St David’s Golf Club is only a short drive away.
