Cottage Details

Spinners Cottage is an immaculately-kept retreat located in the beautiful countryside village of Fritchley, in Derbyshire’s Peak District. It is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty with excellent footpaths and trails, making it a haven for dog walkers and cyclists.

The village of Crich, with its charming traditional pubs, shops, Tramway Village, and market square, is located just a few minutes from the cottage.

You can bring up to 5 dogs on your trip, but you will be charged £20 for each dog per week or part week.

Inside

The property is spread over a two-storey building, and to enter the property from the courtyard, you first have to pass through the utility room, complete with a washing machine and a drinks fridge. However, this is a great place to kick the muddy boots off and wipe the dogs’ paws.

Past this area, you proceed to the cosy lounge, designed with oak floorboards and character beams. To the centre of the room is a wood burner that keeps you warm on cooler evenings as you snuggle up on the comfy couches.

There is also a smart TV in the lounge, complete with a Retro Atari games console and an assortment of board games. Next to the lounge is the dining table that overlooks a spacious kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all mod cons including an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher.

The bedroom area in Spinners Cottage is located on the first and second floors. The first floor consists of a double bedroom overlooking a green field. There is also a dressing room and a shower room having a shower and a WC.

A flight of stairs leads from the first floor to the second floor, where there is another spacious double bedroom with a scenic view of the rolling countryside. There is a bathroom with a roll-top bath and a WC on the second floor.

Outside

There is a beautiful flight of stone steps that lead directly to the spacious courtyard at the cottage entrance. This courtyard offers an ideal space for your children or dogs to play.

There is also a private hot tub in the yard, complete with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing on summer evenings. However, it is essential to note that the cottage doesn’t offer extra towels, and you should pack extra ones if you are visiting this destination.

The property’s back overlooks a field that occasionally has grazing cows. There is also off-road parking for two cars.

Location and surrounding area

Spinners Cottage is located just off the A38. The area is dotted with plenty of tourist attractions and destinations to explore while lodged at the property. Some of the popular attractions within a short distance of the cottage include the historic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

Bakewell and Matlock market towns, with their restaurants, fish and chips shops, family adventure parks, and cable car service, will also keep you entertained while in the area.

However, the biggest attraction about this area has to be the majestic scenery that makes up the Peak District. The dogs and you will love it.
