The Lodge, a dog-friendly Cotswold cottage, is in the little village of Coln St Aldwyns, halfway between Burford and Cirencester.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at this stunning holiday home, which boasts historic and modern features and has been beautifully furnished and decorated to a very high standard.

You can expect peace and quiet here, as the property is down a no-through lane.

Inside

The interior of the cottage has been exquisitely furnished and decorated with care and attention. Underfloor heating, oil-fired central heating and a wood burner ensure that guests will be warm and cosy in any season. Fuel and power are included in the rent.

The larger of the two living rooms has a large corner sofa where guests can relax before the fireplace which houses a wood-burning stove. The second living room opens onto the patio via French doors. Both lounge areas have their own television, perfect for family members to enjoy some solitude if needed.

The kitchen with its dining area is well-equipped, with a range oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble dryer are in the downstairs bathroom.

There are two immaculately presented bedrooms: a king-sized double and a double. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC, while the bathroom on the ground floor has a shower, basin and WC. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Guests can enjoy free WiFi.

Outside

The outdoor space offered by this cottage comprises a beautifully tended garden laid to lawn, great for dogs to run off energy, also with patio and separate terrace, both with table and chairs.

2 minutes away from fields for the dogs to run and well-located for Burford, Cirencester in one of the Cotswolds prettiest villages…

Location and surrounding area

Just two minutes away are fields for your dogs to have a run around. A good pub/restaurant is just 100 yards down the road, and a well-stocked local shop just 200 yards away.

Coln St Aldwyns is an attractive village, bordered by the river Coln, and has a Grade II listed church. Quaint Bibury, with its stone cottages, is just a couple of miles away, and further out but still very accessible is the market town of Cirencester.

The well-known Cotswold towns of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh are also easy to get to from the cottage.
