Cottage Details

Located close to Aldeburgh Golf Club this gorgeous ground floor apartment is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy all that the area has to offer.  With views out across the marsh and the River Alde, this lovely retreat is located in a peaceful location but within easy reach of a wide range of activities. Babies or small children are welcome (with own travel cot). 

One well-behaved dog is welcome for a small additional charge. It should be noted that the owners also have two dogs that have free access to the outside area of the property. The owner’s home is attached to the cottage.

Parking is available on site.

Inside

Marsh View shares an entrance with the first floor apartment, River View. The lovely communal hallway offers a utility area with shared washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. 

Once through the apartment’s own private entrance, you will find a very tasteful and comfortable space awaits you. Light, airy and modern, it’s a welcoming and relaxing place. With all amenities located at ground level, access is easy and the spaces flow from one to another perfectly.

The sitting and dining areas offer uninterrupted views out across Hazelwood Marsh and the River Alde. Enjoy your evening meal at the dining table whilst taking in the beautiful expanse before you. The sitting area offers a TV and DVD player and electric stove-effect fire. The modern kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Domestic WiFi is also available.

The restful bedroom has a deluxe super-king size bed (which can be divided into twin beds upon request) and offers an opulent en-suite with walk in shower cubicle and separate bath.

Outside

Marsh View has access to its own area of private garden, accessed from the front of the house. Guests also have access to a large lawned area. The garden at the rear is not accessible to guests.  In the garden at the front you will find garden furniture for your use, where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings after a day of exploring the local area.

Location and surrounding area

There is much to see and do in Aldeburgh, its beaches and the surrounds. From golf to tennis, yachting and walking. You will also find many of the pubs in and around the area welcome dogs.

When it comes to walking routes, you will be spoilt for choice for days out with your four-legged friend. The Suffolk coast and surrounding heathlands are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are plenty of opportunities to explore the area on foot.

For a traditional seaside day out take a drive to Southwold Pier where dogs on leads are welcome. Southwold is just over 20 miles away. Or take a walk around Snape Maltings where dogs are welcome to explore the outside areas. Snape Maltings is around 4 miles from Marsh View.
