Location and surrounding area
Camber sands are arguably one of the best beaches in the south of England, with much of the area designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The long ridges of dunes turn into miles of unspoilt sandy beach.
For those interested in history, during World War 2, the beaches were used for training troops in preparation for the D-Day landings due to their similarity to the Normandy Beaches.
Today the beaches are popular for water sports and kite surfing. Due to the vast size of the beach, you can enjoy a quiet walk and appreciate the tranquillity of the unspoilt beach, taking in the views across the sea. Or, if you are feeling a little more energetic, then learning a new water sport at Camber Sands should be at the top of your list.
