Goose Lodge

This beautiful wooden lodge is located in the grounds of the owner’s home. You will want for nothing in this tranquil property, perfect for a romantic couple’s break in the gorgeous Warwickshire area of the Cotswolds. 

Located in the village of Halford, this pretty lodge, accessed via a shared gravel driveway, is a wonderful base to explore this part of the Cotswolds.  With the added bonus of being within walking distance of the village shop that sells a range of fresh bread and pastries, along with fresh meat and curries from a local butcher, you will have everything you want to make your stay perfect.

One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Off-road parking for two cars is available, including electric car charging point.

Inside

Outside you are surrounded by the Warwickshire countryside, and inside you are enveloped in the luxury finish of Goose Lodge. All of the accommodation is on one floor, and close attention to detail has been paid to every space.

With light flooding in through the patio doors and overhead skylights, there is a real sense of space inside, enhanced by the high ceilings and exposed oak beams. The sitting room offers comfortable seating and a Smart TV, as well as a selection of books for you to choose from.

The kitchen area is finished with traditional, yet contemporary, units and offers ample space for rustling up a meal after a day out enjoying the fresh, Cotswold air. There is an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer.

The dining space offers a table and chairs, bathed in the light flooding in from the skylight above.

The lodge’s bedroom has a king-sized bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, basin and toilet. Light floods in to the bathroom space too from another lovely skylight, and the bedroom is a tranquil and relaxing place.

There is access to WiFi.

The property is no smoking.

Outside

At the front of the lodge you will find the electric car charging point, and a decked area with patio furniture. This is another lovely space from which to enjoy your peaceful surroundings.

Location and surrounding area

The village of Halford is just a short walk away and is where you will find the shop as well as an active local community. They even hold their own film nights in the Village Hall!

The River Stour is around half a mile away from the property. Take a walk to Shipton-on-Stour, located on the banks of the river. This picturesque market town is well worth a visit. 

For a day out with a difference, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway welcome dogs and is a great way to take in the beauty of the area.

Historic Stratford-Upon-Avon is only around nine miles from Goose Lodge. Here you will find a treasure-trove of things to see and do, including Hall’s Croft, the birthplace of Shakespeare, which welcomes dogs in the gardens.
