Cottage Details

Wisteria Cottage was once a stable and hayloft. Now, this beautiful stone building has been transformed into a luxurious holiday retreat. Nestled on the boundary of the Ystwyth Valley, the property sits amongst acres of countryside in the West Wales area of Ceredigion.

Three well behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional charge.

Inside

After its transformation from a stable to a home, the inside of this wonderful detached property offers complete comfort and relaxation.  The ground floor accommodation is open plan, with sitting, dining and kitchen areas flowing beautifully from one to another.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped, offering fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, slow cooker, liquidizer, Nespresso machine and washing machine. There’s also a range-style cooker with oven, and a dining table for four people. The downstairs also benefits from a WC cloakroom.

The owners of Wisteria Cottage, who live close by, have gone the extra mile to provide you with entertainment during your stay. In the lounge is a television with full Sky package, Britbox and a DVD player. In addition to this, you will have access to two Galaxy tablets as well as a subscription to The Times newspaper and the Readly app, giving access to a wide range of magazines.

Upstairs there are two generous king size bedrooms, both with modern ensuite bathrooms offering walk-in shower cubicles. Both bedrooms also boast televisions with access to Netflix.

As if the opportunity for relaxation isn’t already abundant, there is even a massage table provided, meaning that you can book a massage during your stay.

A cot and stair gate are both available upon request.

Domestic standard WIFI is available.

Outside

The outside of the cottage doesn’t disappoint either, with a fully enclosed garden and a decked patio area.  You can even access the owner’s lovely gardens if you chose, although the grounds of the cottage offer lots for your relaxation, including patio furniture and steamer chairs. There is also a barbecue for outdoor dining, but up a set of steps from the patio area, you will also find a covered hot tub.

Location and surrounding area

Located in the heart of the countryside, you will find walks in nature in every direction. With streams and waterfalls close by, there is much to explore.

The beautiful Welsh coast and the lovely market town of Aberystwyth are around 13 miles away.  You’ll find a range of dog-friendly beaches along this stretch of coastline.

If history and intrigue are your thing, then the Silver Mountain Experience in Ponterwyd is definitely one to visit. It’s a dog-friendly attraction, although dogs are not able to join you on any of their guided tours. The attraction is around 20 miles away from the cottage.
