Cottage Details
Butterdon Barn cottage has been converted from an ancient stone barn, and boasts magnificent views across the impressive scenery of Dartmoor. It is accessed via a secluded country lane. Perfect for escaping the stresses of everyday life.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and dog owners will love the easy access to moorland walks from the property.
Inside
The open-plan living space, comprising lounge, dining area and kitchen, is comfortable and decorated to a high standard. Guests can enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove in any season. The kitchen is well-equipped with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
There are two large bedrooms in the eaves, tastefully decorated in pale, neutral colours which contrast beautifully with the dark beams. Light pours through skylight windows. These two spacious rooms can be arranged as either super-king doubles or twins. Both have en-suite bathing facilities (bathroom with shower over a wood-panelled bath and shower room).
Bed linen and towels are included in the cost of renting the cottage. The private water supply to the property is regularly tested.
Outside
Guests can relax in the private hot tub, or on the sunny patio and garden. There is also barbecue and picnic table for meals outside. The lawn area provides plenty of space for your dogs to run and play.
Lovely accommodation in a fantastic setting. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. We love this Barn and will definitely be back for another holiday there…
