Cottage Details
This enchanting traditional Grade II listed cottage boasts traditional features, wooden beams, and oozes charm and relaxation. Set in a peaceful location in the beautiful village of Hawkchurch, facing the village memorial. Opposite the parking area of this charming cottage is direct access to the Monarch’s Way, a 625-mile long-distance walk for you and your canine friend to explore.
Hawkchurch has a small village shop and an authentic, dog-friendly country pub serving food.
Also available is a detached, single-storey coach house for extra accommodation.
Five dogs welcome.

Inside
Entering the cottage from the large parking area is a hallway for hanging coats, leaving dirty boots and wiping muddy paws. From there, you enter a study area, superb for cosying up with a book. Then into a bright and airy kitchen diner, with all mod cons and a large-sized dining table for fabulous family meals, also a large window seat, great for gazing across the outstanding views from one of the two windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, hob and a combi oven, so there is plenty of scope to cook those delicious dishes and a dishwasher to make cleaning up quick and easy.
A wooden archway leads into a gorgeous double-aspect lounge with a beautiful parquet floor, an open fireplace, an original bread oven and another large window seat.
On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with an over the bath shower and WC.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, the first, a bright-spacious king-sized bedroom with ensuite. There are also two wonderful twin bedrooms, with reduced height in the eaves.
There is additional accommodation outside across the parking area in the detached coach house. This sleeps a further two and is available at extra cost and on request.
Outside
The gardens are perfect for doggy friends. The enclosed rear garden has a lawn and a patio area ideal for outdoor dining after a fun day exploring. The enclosed front garden is split-level with flowers and shrubs.
The large parking area provides parking for three cars.
There is an outbuilding with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Location and surrounding area
Hawkchurch, nestled between Dorset and the Blackdown Hills, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides an idyllic setting for an escape. The area is impressive for walkers and cyclists.
The pretty fishing town, Lyme Regis, is 7 miles away. It is known as the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, famous for its location on the Jurassic Coast, fossils, stunning beaches, breathtaking scenery and intriguing history.
