Cottage Details
Dog-friendly Kingfisher Cottage is a beautiful thatched holiday home just outside Membury village in East Devon, set in the owner’s grounds.
Up to four dogs are welcome at £25 each, and there is off-road parking for three cars.
Inside
The interior of the cottage is as full of charm as the outside. With pale walls and exposed wood, the blend of traditional and modern features is well-balanced. The oil central heating and electric fire ensure that guests will be warm whatever the season. Fuel and power are included in the rent.
The spacious dining area leads to a galley kitchen, which, together with the utility room, offers all essential equipment, including oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine (with further shared laundry facilities).
A bright but cosy sitting room can be found upstairs, with gorgeous views across the grounds and surrounding countryside.
There are three bedrooms: a ground-floor super king-size double (can be twin on request) with ensuite bathroom, a first-floor double also with ensuite bathroom and a first-floor single. Please note that the single room has access to the bathrooms through the other bedrooms. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.
Your dogs are well-catered for, with dog towels and dog bowls provided.
Outside
A small patio garden with a bench and flowering shrubs is to the rear, and there is also a front patio with seating. The shared grounds are immaculate and have a barbecue and seating for guest use.
