Cottage Details

This dog-friendly cottage at Deer How Farm is close to the village of Glenridding in the Lake District.

Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is off-road parking available.

Inside

The interior is spacious and inviting, with stunning views over the fells. With oil central heating and a wood burning stove, the cottage is cosy in any season.

There is plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge, a room boasting traditional features including exposed beams, wood flooring and exposed stonework. The wood burner completes the picture. There are also modern comforts, including television with Freeview, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and free WiFi.

The large kitchen has a long dining table that seats ten people. The room is well-equipped, with oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

There are five bedrooms, one on the ground floor and four upstairs. The ground-floor room is a double, conveniently on the same floor as a walk-in shower room with shower, basin and WC. Upstairs can be found one double, two twins and one single. Also on the first floor are two bathrooms: one shower room with shower, basin and WC and a bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside

Relax on the cottage’s private patio with furniture, after a day of exploring the area with your dogs, and enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding fells.

Location and surrounding area

The village of Glenridding is 8 miles from Pooley Bridge and 12 miles from the twin towns of Windermere and Bowness. It is on the edge of Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District, and offers pubs, a café and a shop, all within walking distance of the cottage.

Mountain walkers are drawn to the area and the opportunities it offers for some beautiful walks. The lake offers outdoor pursuits and cruises.
