Don’t be put off by the name of Moody House Farm – there will be more smiles than frowns when you pick it for your holiday! This cottage sits amidst the rolling greenery of the Lancashire countryside. Spacious on the inside, and with a beautiful landscaped garden, this is a wonderful place to enjoy fresh air and glorious surroundings. Located close to the town of Chorley and everything that it has to offer, the cottage is also ideally placed for access to the Lake District as well as the Lancashire coast.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome.

Off-road parking for up to five cars is available.

Inside

The impressively spacious accommodation at Moody House Farm makes this perfect for a large gathering.

The first of the sitting rooms is large and inviting, and a comfortable L-shaped sofa, perfectly situated for enjoying the impressive wood-burning stove in an exposed brick fireplace. There is a TV here, and with exposed beams the room has real character. In this large space there is also a formal dining table for sociable meals with the rest of your party.

You will find another sitting room, perfect for relaxing in the evening. It has a large leather sofa, and this room also boasts another open fire and a further TV. The entertainment options don’t stop there, though. A further reception room has been made in to a games room with its very own pool table, so there’s plenty to keep your party busy!

The kitchen has been finished in a sleek, modern style and includes a butcher’s block as well as breakfast table and chairs. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a separate utility room.

The sleeping accommodation is found on the first floor, and with five bedrooms to choose from there is plenty to explore here too. Two of the double bedrooms have exposed beams and are in keeping with the traditional style of the property. There are a further three double bedrooms here too.

When it comes to bathrooms, there is plenty of choice here too! There is a family bathroom with shower over bath, basin and toilet. In addition, there are a further two shower rooms, both with walk-in showers, basins and toilets.

Access to WiFi is available.

The property is no smoking.

Outside

As if the views of the surrounding countryside aren’t enough, the landscaped gardens are a treat in themselves. You will find access to a table and chairs so that you can spend time enjoying the greenery that surrounds you.

Location and surrounding area

Moody House Farm is close to the market town of Chorley where you will find a range of shops as well as two separate markets.

The majestic Grade 1 Listed Astley Hall is also close by. Find out about their restoration plans and take a walk in the beautiful grounds with your dog.

For a day out further afield the Lancashire coast at Blackpool is around 28 miles away. Explore the lovely sandy, dog-friendly beaches of the Fylde Coast between Lytham and Fleetwood, and take in fish and chips on the promenade.

Chorley lies close to the M6, so heading off for a day in the Lake District is also possible, with Bowness-on-Windemere around 60 miles away. Stop off on the way and explore the Lancashire Forest of Bowland close to Lancaster.
