Fell Foot in High Newton occupies a quiet and elevated position, nestled within its own beautiful gardens and with views across the South Lakes countryside & beyond. This spacious house is perfect for a family and friends get together, and offers superb accommodation and amenities. Ideally located for walking in the countryside, it’s around three and a half miles away from the pretty village of Cartmel, home of the famous sticky toffee pudding and the racecourse.

One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Spacious off-road parking is available.

Inside

Fell Foot offers the ultimate in versatility with accommodation to an upper ground and a lower ground floor. Reached via a private road, it’s the perfect choice for easy accessibility with bedrooms and a sitting room on both floors.

Entry to the house is on the upper ground floor. Here you will find the wonderful country kitchen with views out across the fells. This room is also home to a large dining table and chairs for ten people, as well as to an Aga electric range with not just one but three ovens, a combination microwave with oven and grill, two fridge/freezers and a dishwasher. There is also a Smart TV here too.

On in to the upper ground floor sitting room you will find a woodburning stove, plush sofas and a Smart TV and DVD player. This room also opens out on to the balcony that wraps around the property which also has a table and chairs, should you wish to sit outside. Throw open the doors in the summer time and enjoy the fresh country air as it blows through the sitting room on warm evenings.

You will find two of the property’s five bedrooms on the upper ground floor too. One offers a super king-sized bed, access to the balcony and a Smart TV. This room also benefits from an en-suite with spa bath and separate walk-on shower cubicle, heated towel rail, basin and toilet. The second bedroom on this floor offers a super king-sized bed and has access to a shower room close by. It too has wonderful views of the countryside beyond.

To the lower ground floor you will find another sitting area equipped with a TV and a comfortable sofa, as well as a further dining area. You will also find the remaining three bedrooms on this floor, each of which boasts its own en-suite bathroom. One room has a super king-size bed, another is a twin room but both have zip-link functionality meaning that the beds can be linked or separated, dependent upon the needs of your party. The final bedroom offers a king-sized bed.

You will find a wide variety of books, games, puzzles, guide books and maps for your enjoyment.

To top off the lower ground floor, there is also a sauna with wet room.

The property also benefits from a utility room and boot room with washing machine.

A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

WiFi is available throughout the property and you will also find HDMI connections for games consoles should you require them.

The property is no smoking. Regrettably, stag and hen parties cannot be accommodated.

Outside

Fell Foot offers a delightful garden space for you to enjoy. Set over multiple terraced levels you are surrounded by lush greenery. There is a terraced patio with access to more garden furniture, and it’s perfect for enjoying barbeques (there are two available).  Best of all, if you didn’t feel spoilt enough with the sauna, there’s also a hot tub located on the patio for you to enjoy the ultimate in relaxation.

Location and surrounding area

There are miles of walking opportunities right from your doorstep in High Newton. Take a hike to High Newton Reservoir which is known to be a great place for rainbow trout fishing for the anglers amongst your party.
