Willow Barn is located in an idyllic rolling countryside setting that is accessed through private land.

A short drive away from this fabulous rural cottage is the Lizard Peninsula which consists of a string of pretty villages and beachside coves. It is located eight miles from the beautiful and arty town of Falmouth.

On a complex of similar properties, a shop and pub is 2 miles away, and the beach just 7 miles.

Guests are allowed up to four well-behaved dogs at a fee of £20 per dog per full week or part of the week.

Inside

Guests are welcomed by the cottage’s complimentary Cornish cream tea on arrival which should instantly put them in holiday mode.

This single-storey property is cosy, yet very spacious. A wood burner set within an impressive feature fireplace takes the centre stage of the lounge/diner. This keeps the property lovely and warm and snug in the winter months or is ideal for cooler summers evenings. Also available is a TV, DVD and a CD player.

The modern kitchen is well-equipped with everything guests need including an oven, hob washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and microwave.

The master bedroom consists of a double with an ensuite shower and WC. The other two bedrooms are twins. Each bedroom has its own TV.

The main bathroom has a bath, separate shower, cubicle, and WC.

Internet is also readily available.

Outside

This cottage contains an enclosed lawn garden with a patio area that has seating and a BBQ providing a lovely environment for your family to relax after a day of exploring and romping with the dogs.

There is ample parking for guests.

Location and surrounding area

Willow Barn is a cozy and comfortable accommodation that welcomes dogs and their owners. It is located in a very serene environment, surrounded by the rolling Cornish countryside. You and your dog can enjoy the fresh air and the scenic views from the private patio, or explore the nearby footpaths and trails.

Falmouth is a charming seaside town that offers plenty of dog-friendly attractions and activities. You can stroll along the historic harbour, visit the Pendennis Castle, or browse the boutique shops, eateries and art galleries. Many of them allow dogs inside or have outdoor seating areas. You can also take a ferry to St Mawes or Flushing and admire the stunning coastline.

If you’re looking for some fun and adventure, you can head to Flambards theme park, which has rides, shows, and exhibitions for all ages. Dogs are welcome in most areas of the park, except for some indoor attractions. You can also visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, which is situated in the small town of Gweek. Here you can see rescued seals, sea lions, penguins, and otters. Dogs are allowed on a lead in most parts of the sanctuary, except for the seal pools.

Another great place to visit with your dog is the Helford River, which offers opportunities for sports and leisure activities. You can rent a kayak or a boat and explore the hidden coves and creeks, or join a guided tour and learn about the wildlife and history of the area. You can also walk along the riverbank and discover some of the picturesque villages and gardens that dot the landscape.

One of the most beautiful gardens in Cornwall is Trebah Gardens, which is very close to Willow Barn. This subtropical paradise has over four miles of footpaths that wind through exotic plants and flowers. You can also enjoy the views of the private beach and the river. Dogs are welcome on a lead throughout the garden, except for the children’s play area.
