Cottage Details
Located on the Fring Estate, north Norfolk, Park Cottage, is now a luxury holiday home. Once the Gamekeeper’s cottage, this lovely property is traditional on the outside, but bursting with modern features on the inside.
Three well behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional charge.
On-site parking is available.
Inside
Finished in traditional stone outside, and whilst retaining some of its original features inside, there is a definite modern twist to the amenities here.
Entering through the front door, you are greeted by a generous and bright dining space, which leads in an L-shape to the kitchen. There is also a doorway into the cosy sitting room space with comfortable sofas, an open fire and a television with access to Sky and a DVD player.
The dining area has a traditional table and chairs perfect for social dining. As you progress through to the kitchen, you are greeted by a bright space finished with a traditional Shaker-style kitchen with Butler’s sink. The Metro style tiling gives this space a modern flourish, which is also echoed by the provision of electric oven and sperate hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
You will also find an annexed area to the side of the house, offering a full utility room with washing machine, as well as modern shower room and WC.
On the first floor of the cottage there are 3 bedrooms. One is a large room with super king sized bed. Another offers a king sized bed, and the third has twin beds. There is a family bathroom on this floor, with a bath and traditional ‘telephone’ style handheld shower attachment.
WIFI is available although it is of domestic standard only.
Outside
Whichever way you look you will see greenery and nature. Enjoy the fully enclosed garden as you sit with your morning coffee at the table and chairs provided. In the evening make use of the barbecue as you sit back and relax.
Adjacent to the property you will also find a games room. Here you can store bikes after a day of exploring the cycle routes around the Estate. But if you’re feeling competitive, there’s also a full sized table tennis table for your use.
Location and surrounding area
Because Park Cottage is part of the Fring Estate, there is plenty to do in the immediate area. Guests have access to bike hire from the Estate’s owners, and there are foot and cycle paths on the Estate. There is also access to tennis courts and an outdoor pool, so there’s plenty to keep you entertained.
For days out you are spoilt for choice. Walks through the Estate will take you to outlying villages where you will find dog friendly pubs like the Rose and Crown in Snettisham, around 4 miles away.
The beautiful north Norfolk coast is around 7 miles away and offers miles of sandy shoreline. There are lots of dog-friendly days out, too, including Old Hunstanton beach which is dog-friendly throughout the year.
