Cottage Details

The Tack House is a lovely, Grade II listed, cottage and sits in a position offering wonderful views across the north Norfolk countryside. The Tack House was originally a farm manager’s home but now offers spacious and bright accommodation for up to 5 people. Its location, close to Holkham, means it’s a great place to stay for exploring the Norfolk coast.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional charge of £50 per dog.

Private parking for up to four cars is available.

Inside

The Tack House has been completely refurbished, and inside you will find stylishly finished interiors mixed with restored period features. Owned by an art dealer, there is artwork throughout the cottage, all from the owner’s private collection.

Upon walking through the front door, you are greeted by a large entrance hall which also doubles up as a boot room.

Through to the inner hall, you will find access to a downstairs WC and a utility room offering a washing machine and drying rack. At the front of the cottage there is also a lovely snug with a comfortable sofa and a television with DVD player.

The kitchen is located in the center of the house, with windows at either end and a traditional stable door with access to the garden. Here you will also find a large dining table. The kitchen is traditionally styled with exposed beams and flagstone flooring. It is fully equipped with a fridge freezer and dishwasher. The aga cooker comes with an Aga Companion which gives you options for cooking.

At the rear of the ground floor is the spacious sitting room with sofas centered around a log burning stove. There is a large television with Freeview, Netflix and a Bluetooth soundbar.

On the first floor are three lovey bedrooms. One is fitted with a super king sized bed that can be converted to two singles upon request. The smallest bedroom contains a single bed and offers views across the parkland outside. The luxurious main bedroom has a super king sized bed, its own seating area, a dressing room and fully equipped en-suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle.

There is also a family bathroom on the first floor with a bath and shower.

A travel cot (without bedding), high-chair and stair gate are all available on request.

WIFI is provided to a domestic standard.

Outside

The property offers a lovely, south facing garden. It’s fully enclosed with lawn and shingle so perfect for your dog. It also has a covered seating area where you will also find a full size table tennis table.

Also on offer is a charcoal barbecue along with dining area with table and chairs. For cooler evenings there is a fire pit to keep you warm.

Location and surrounding area

There are walking and cycling routes aplenty around and about the immediate area.

The cottage is also just a short walk away from Holkham Hall and parkland. Holkham welcomes dogs on leads in the grounds.

The proximity of the Tack House to Holkham beach is a real advantage. The beach offers dog friendly options, and from Holkham you can also walk to other nearby Norfolk beaches such as Wells-next-the-Sea.
