Oak Tree is a 17th century farmhouse converted into two cottages: Oak Tree and East Bickleigh. They share interconnecting doors, so could be booked by one large party, or two families. Together, the two properties sleep a total of twelve people.
The farm where the cottages are located has fantastic amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, play area and games room. The play area has a large trampoline, swings, adventure gym and more to keep the kids entertained.
Oak Tree Cottage is dog friendly and welcomes up to three well-behaved dogs.
Thanks to central heating and underfloor heating, this cottage is comfortable in any season.
The cosy lounge, complete with traditional wooden beams, has a comfortable sofa and armchairs from where guests can enjoy the wood-burning stove, or relax in front of the television.
The spacious kitchen is well-equipped, with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher, and includes a dining table.
There are two bedrooms: a king-size double with four poster bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, and a twin room. There is also a shower room.
A private seating area with garden furniture and barbecue is provided, with access to the wider open area of the farm. This location provides a fantastic space for dogs.
The games room belonging to the farm is free for guest use, and includes a pool table, table tennis table and piano. There is also an indoor pool available for guests, and an outdoor play area.
Location and surrounding area
The cottage is situated in the small village of Halwell, between the little town of Kingsbridge and the slightly larger Totnes. There are lots of things to do in the area, including discovering the Totnes Mystery Treasure Trail, visiting Totnes Castle and walking along the South West Coast Path.
