This stunning cottage at White Tor Farm, dating back to 1900, is a dog friendly converted barn in Dartmoor National Park, close to the little village of Peter Tavy and just four miles from Tavistock.
With exposed wood beams and oak flooring, the original character of the cottage shines through the modern finish.
There are magnificent 350º views from the cottage across the moors, perfect to relax and unwind. Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome. Sorry, no smoking is allowed at this property.
Inside
The kitchen, dining and lounge areas are in a spacious, open-plan setting. There is central heating and a wood burning stove to keep you warm on cooler evenings, ensuring the cottage is suitable for any time of year. The kitchen boasts all mod-cons, including washing machine, oven, fridge, freezer and microwave. The lounge has a television and DVD player with a selection of disks, and guests can also expect free WiFi.
The king-size master bedroom sits on a mezzanine floor, next to a bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC, and the second bedroom is a twin on the ground floor, alongside a second bathroom with shower, basin and WC.
Outside
The living area opens onto a private sunny garden and patio, perfect for dog owners, and at night-time you can enjoy breath-taking views of our galaxy stretching across the almost zero light-polluted sky.
There are cattle and pigs on the farm, along with chickens and pygmy goats. Guests are welcome to help out with daily feeding and egg-collecting if they are interested.
The cottage benefits from off-road parking.

Location and surrounding area
There is unhindered access to Dartmoor directly from the cottage, with no roads between, making the location safe and ideal for dog owners and their pets.
Guests can discover a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs in the nearby town of Tavistock.
Other interesting local features are a Bronze Age settlement, standing stones, National Trust properties and fantastic gardens.
