There are two bedrooms toward the rear of the lodge: a double and a twin (which can be super king-size on request), which share a bathroom.

Really was a pleasure to be able to walk straight out of the door into the wood/lake area with our dogs…

Outside

A private decked terrace is accessed through patio doors from the conservatory, where you can stand right on the water’s edge and enjoy uninterrupted views across the lake. You could also use this area for meals on warm days, or for relaxing with a book. There is also a private lawned area.

Thanks to the low level of light pollution, on clear nights you can indulge in a spot of stargazing.

Location and surrounding area

Country lanes and walks are easily accessible from the lodge. It is near the picturesque village of Whinburgh, where you can visit the church, or take the dogs for a stroll in the park.

Other market towns and villages of mid-Norfolk are a short bike ride or drive away, via attractive country lanes.

It’s also worth visiting the historic city of Norwich, which has plenty to offer including the cathedral, churches, shops, museums and restaurants.

The Norfolk coast isn’t too far, with its collection of seaside towns and fishing villages.
