Inside

The accommodation is all on the ground floor and is charmingly presented with a real country feel. Impressive high exposed beams remind guests of the history of the property, yet modern comforts combine effortlessly with these souvenirs of the past.

The open-plan living space comprises a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area with a solid wooden table, and a sitting room complete with wood-burning stove in an inglenook fireplace for cosy evenings and colder times of year.

There are two bedrooms: a four-poster double room and twin room with ensuite shower, basin and WC. The beds in the twin room have a backdrop of elegant drapes, lending an air of country chic. The family bathroom with colourful wooden panelling has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.

Location and surrounding area

Surrounded by beautiful Cornish countryside, this holiday home is a real rural escape, and an ideal base for discovering the area.

The village of Newlyn, despite being the third largest fishing port in England, is still a quaint village nestled by the harbour. The historic quay is 800 years old. The Cornwall Coastal Path and the Mousehole to Marazion cycle path pass through the village. Walks along the Cornish coastline will reward you with sights of basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals, depending on the time of year.

Newlyn is just one mile from the popular town of Penzance, from where you can visit St Michael’s Mount. Walk along the causeway at low tide, or take the ferry.

A wealth of tourist spots are easily accessible from here, including Land’s End and St Ives.
